WHO?

Anyone can participate in the Sew & Save Program!
Experienced sewers, inexperienced sewers, non-sewers
Crafters, “non-crafty” types, and those who’d like to try their hand at a new craft
New dancers to experienced dancers!

WHERE?

Baird Convention Center, Second Floor, Rooms S 202 A, B, and C

WHEN?

Open on Thursday and Friday from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM, and on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

The Sew & Save Program has something for everyone!

Sewing Demonstrations and Seminars

A range of classes and demonstrations, all facilitated by volunteer dancers for dancers!

Make & Take Projects

Walk away with a small craft item to take home.

Projects include a wood violet napkin ring, dragonfly earrings, Ojo de Dios ornament, and more.

Some projects will be suitable for children!

Sew & Save Booklet

LOTS of ideas, patterns, directions, presentations, and more!

Available for purchase as a USB drive or link to a downloadable file (Pre-purchase through the registration website or registration form, or purchase onsite at Ways and Means).

Pattern and Tracing area

Stop by anytime that we are open to trace patterns that you can take home.

Patterns will include sleeves, men’s ties, skirts, and more.

Displays

Ideas for creative square dance clothing.

Suggestions for using technology in sewing.

Repair Area

A sewing machine, safety pins, iron-on tape, and more for those emergency “fixes”.

Help when you need something repaired.

Raffles and Give-aways

Purchase tickets at Ways and Means for a chance to win a new sewing machine and bag.

Bring in the small flyer from your registration packets to receive a small gift or exchange the flyer for tickets to win additional raffle prizes. There will be more than 60 prizes including gift baskets and handmade items!

All prizes must be claimed before 4:00 PM on Saturday.

Helping Others (Service Projects)

Bring in small, motel-sized toiletries which will be donated to a local homeless shelter.

Look for lists of “sewing for service” ideas in the Sew & Save Booklet.

Free Table

Donated fabric, yarn, patterns, and trims available to go to a new home.
