Art and Wanda Kruse

Art started square dancing in 1973. Wanda started square dancing in 1979 and is a retired cuer. Wanda moved to St. Louis in 1991, Art said it was love and first sight and we were married in October of 1992. Art was a Board Member of the Greater St. Louis Folk and Square Dance Federation from 1986 to 2007. Art was Bid Chairman to host the 41st and 42nd National Square Dance Convention® (NSDC) in St. Louis. Wanda was a member of the Chicago Round Dance Leaders Society and was faculty advisor to the Purdue Krazy 8s at Purdue University.

Together, we were Assistant General Chairman for the 42nd NSDC in St. Louis in 1993. We were Jamboree Chairman in 2001 and 2011 for the Greater St. Louis Metro Square and Round Dance Association. We are Past Presidents of the Missouri Round Dance Association. Between the two of us, we have attended 30 NSDCs. We are the Secretary for Missouri Promenaders. Art is Parliamentarian for the Missouri Federation of Square and Round Dance Clubs, Inc. and Greater St. Louis Metro Square and Round Dance Association. Art is a retired Contracting Officer for the United States Department of Defense. Wanda retired as a Senior Analytical Research Chemist. Their family consists of one dog and two cats.

In their spare time, Art enjoys spending time in the garden. Wanda does papercrafts and they both enjoy sewing and quilting.
