Howdy! I’m from Corpus Christi, Texas and moved to Wisconsin just a few months ago. Yes, I love the snow, and no, I don’t miss the heat, but I do miss the tacos!
I hold a bachelor’s degree in journalism and German language from Baylor University, class of 2016, and a master’s degree in German language and literature from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, class of 2018.
I speak German fluently and have travelled to Europe several times, visiting Germany, the Czech Republic, Greece, the Netherlands, France, Belgium, Austria, Ireland, and the United Kingdom. I am currently work in planning and purchasing for a major manufacturing company. In my free time, I enjoy reading, cooking, crocheting and obviously dancing.
I started square dancing at the age of 11 with the Ocean Waves club of Rockport, Texas and was a recipient of the Texas Teen Square and Round Dancer scholarship upon my graduation from high school. I have attended four Texas State Square and Round Dancing Conventions as well as two Texas State Singles Square and Round Dancing Conventions. I have been consistently dancing for 17 years, taking a five year break to take up ballroom, Latin and swing dance in Illinois.
I am so happy to be returning to the world of square dancing in Wisconsin just in time to help with this convention!
