Jim and Katie Green

Katie graduated from square dance lessons through the Swingin’ Single Squares of Milwaukee in 1985. Jim took lessons through a local school district recreation program from caller Jim Noonan in 1987. They met at a Swingin’ Singles dance that summer. Their first date was a Buy-A-Bale fund raising dance for Wisconsin farmers who were struggling due to drought conditions that year.

Fast forward many lessons, dances, conventions and weekends. They married in 2004. Fast forward again to the COVID era during which they are working hard to restart the Milwaukee area Four Corners Plus Club. They take advantage of Zoom square and round dances and host some four couple square dances in their basement as strategies for getting through this challenging time.

They have a special interest in round dancing. Other interests include ham radio and Jim enjoys working out at the gym. Katie enjoys family history and staying connected with nieces and nephews.
